Congratulations to our seminarian, Dan Mahoney for receiving the Companion on a Journey Award. This is the highest National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry adult award given by our Diocese for Catholic faith witness, excellence in youth ministry, commitment to young people, outstanding leadership, and longevity in ministry. We are proud that Daniel is part of our parish community and witnesses to our Catholic faith in this manner. All are welcome to attend the ceremony on March 3, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul.

Advent Wreath Workshop Join us for a great family event as we prepare ourselves for this Advent on Sunday, December 2nd from 1-2:30pm in Fr. Greenan Parish Center Bring garden gloves, hand clippers and a desert to share. We will provide the kit and greens to build your wreath. Beverages will be provided. Bring a snack to share. Cost is $12 per wreath.
Advent is a special time of year to gain spiritual fruits, particularly peace and joy. A special mediator of these graces is our Blessed Mother Mary. On Sunday, December 2nd after the 8am Mass in Helen Bouchard Hall parishioners are invited to view a 30 minute video introducing an Ascension Press program called Rejoice! Advent Meditations with Mary to help us prepare for Jesus’ birth as Mary did.

RCIA Information Night at St Francis If you know someone-a spouse, relative, friend, neighbor who might be interested in becoming a Catholic, or is a Catholic but has not received all the sacraments of initiation, please let them know that our parish will be starting a Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program. Before we formally begin the RCIA program, we will hold an information night for all interested. Our parish RCIA Information Night will be held Thursday, October 4 at the rectory starting at 7pm. FAREWELL RECEPTION FOR FR. DUFOUR Join us for a farewell reception for Father Dufour next Sunday, August 26 following the noon Mass in Helen Bouchard Hall (lower level of the church). We have been blessed to have Fr. Dufour here with us through the summer. He will be with us here through Labor Day weekend and then he will return to Rome to continue his last year of studies. So if you have a moment, stop by to wish him well . We have been truly blessed. We will miss you Fr. Dufour!
Calling all high school teens and young adults (up to age 25) Would you like to join us for a fun filled day to encounter Christ with other young adults in RI? Diocesan Youth Day, the first of its kind will be held on Sat. Sept. 8 from 10am - 9pm at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Cumberland. This event held rain or shine (much of it will be outdoors) is for high school and college aged youth and young adults.
